A privately-owned former landfill is being brought back to productive use! The approximate 25-acre site, located on the northwest corner of 13th Street and Riverview Drive within the Rio Salado Beyond the Banks area, was a landfill in the 1960s.
Since closure of the landfill in the early 1970s, the property has remained vacant and underused. The site will be developed for commerce park uses.
Phoenix City Council approved a $400,000 brownfields grant for the project to Riverview Business Park LLC.
