Vice Mayor Michael Nowakowski received the Valle Del Sol’s Profiles of Success Hispanic Exemplary Leadership Award and was recognized by Cox Communications for his contributions to the Hispanic community.

Nowakowski received the Exemplary Leadership Award today at the 20th Annual Profiles of Success Hispanic Leadership Awards Celebration that recognizes Latino leadership and community heroes. The event launches National Hispanic Heritage Month in Arizona and is attended by more than 1,700 people. Profiles of Success is Valle del Sol’s major fundraiser to benefit behavioral health, human service and leadership development programs for the community.

Also, Nowakowski was honored Sept. 9 by Cox Communications during a preview of Cox’s Hispanic Heritage Month Campaign. During the event, Nowakowski was recognized for creating history through his contributions to the community.
