Unofficial Results: Voters Elect DiCiccio and Gates in Council Election

Phoenix voters elected Bill Gates as their City Council representative in District 3, while District 6 voters chose Sal DiCiccio as their City Councilman in today's Runoff Election.

In unofficial results, Gates received 13,573 votes to beat Greg Tripoli, who received 3,890 votes. DiCiccio received 14,855 votes to defeat Dana Marie Kennedy, who received 11,737 votes.

Preliminary figures indicate that nearly 21 percent of all registered voters in District 3 cast ballots, while nearly 26 percent of registered voters in District 6 cast ballots.

The City Council is scheduled to canvass the vote totals at the regular city council meeting on Nov. 18, after which the results will be official.
