Residents are invited to join Vice Mayor Tom Simplot for his monthly breakfast meeting, which has been moved up one week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. The meeting will be held at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Phoenix College, Willo Conference Room, 3110 N. 10th Ave.

This month’s guest speaker is Debra Stark, planning director for the city of Phoenix, who will give a presentation on the General Plan update. The Phoenix General Plan is the long-range guide for the city and addresses issues such as energy, housing, neighborhoods, public facilities, natural resources, transportation and land use. Arizona State Statutes require that this plan be updated and/or readopted every ten years by a public vote.

The Willo Conference Room is located inside the OSS Building, on the northeast corner of 11th Avenue and Flower Street (south of Osborn Road). Parking is available at the OSS Building and also in the student parking lot, located on the southwest corner of 11th Avenue and Flower Street.
