Residents are invited to join Councilman Tom Simplot for his monthly morning meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at the Neighborhood Learning Center, 1516 N. 35th Ave. (southwest corner of 35th Avenue and McDowell Road).
Attendees will learn about RecycleBank, a free program where residents can earn rewards like gift certificates, coupons and other discounts to local businesses – just for recycling. Also, a representative from the city’s Parks and Recreation Department will discuss the “My Phoenix - My Park” volunteer program and highlight opportunities to volunteer at the city’s parks, museums, community centers and more.
