Residents Invited to Local Laveen Summit

Residents are invited to attend a Local Laveen Summit from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 9, at the Laveen Pavilions Center, on the northeast corner of 35th and Southern avenues.

The roundtable discussion will feature District 7 Councilman Michael Nowakowski, along with representatives from Maricopa County, the state of Arizona and several local leaders who represent neighborhood businesses and shopping centers.

Topics of the summit will include the economy, the local market’s response and opportunities following recent troubles in the real estate and financial markets. Residents are encouraged to attend and ask questions.

The free event is open to the public and hosted by the Laveen Association of HOAs’ Retail Committee, with help from the Laveen Community Council, South Mountain/Laveen Chamber of Commerce, District 7 Office and Terrazona Properties.
